Estonia’s Most Active Lifestyle Festival Returns to the Heart of Tallinn
On July 18–19, Freedom Square (VABADUSE VÄLJAK) in Tallinn will once again host the international street sports and youth culture festival Ghetto Games Tallinn, bringing together active lifestyle enthusiasts from 10 countries for the fourth consecutive year. Organized by Ghetto Games in cooperation with the City of Tallinn and title partner LIDO, the festival has become one of the largest street sports and youth culture events in Estonia.
Visitors can enjoy a packed programme featuring 3x3 basketball, street football, dance competitions, combat sports showcases, spectator challenges, family activities and delicious food from LIDO. Activities begin daily at 12:00 PM, transforming the heart of Tallinn into a vibrant festival venue filled with world-class sports, entertainment and community spirit. Best of all – admission is completely free.
One of the festival’s headline events will be the international 3x3 Basketball FIBA Quest, where teams will compete for a ticket to the prestigious Lausanne Masters. The tournament will feature Estonia’s top teams, strong Latvian squads, as well as international teams from Germany, Georgia, Mongolia and beyond. The biggest star of the tournament will be Olympic Champion Nauris Miezis, one of the most recognizable players in the world of 3x3 basketball, who will represent the Ulaanbaatar team from Mongolia. Fans will also have the opportunity to see Germany’s Frankfurt Skyliners, featuring players who have won silver medals at the World Championships.
Football fans can look forward to the special 5 Star Cup - a series of 5v5 football tournaments for different age groups. The main category will bring together content creators, local stars, athletes and street football personalities for an entertaining and competitive showcase. Both basketball and football will feature the exciting Tupla Challenge, where participants can compete for a €1,000 cash prize. Over the years, the challenge has become one of the festival’s most popular spectator attractions.
“This is no longer just a tournament – it is a festival where sport becomes a celebration. Every year we see the event growing, and that motivates us to raise the bar even higher. That is why we are excited to return to the heart of Tallinn for the fourth consecutive year,” says Ghetto Games founder Raimonds Elbakjans.
Street dance will once again play a major role in the festival. During the day, young dancers will compete in various categories, while the evening highlight will be the VIP Dance Battle, where the King of Tallinn will be crowned in a spectacular 2-vs-2 format. Combat sports fans can look forward to a special international showcase on Sunday, featuring Estonia’s top fighters taking on challengers from around the world.
The festival programme also includes Run 4 Fun, a community run taking place on the morning of July 19. Participants will explore some of Tallinn’s most beautiful locations before finishing with a coffee break at LIDO. The run has become a beloved Ghetto Games Tallinn tradition and continues to attract more participants each year.
Football enthusiasts will also be able to follow FIFA World Cup matches throughout the weekend on a giant screen, including the opportunity to experience the tournament final together in the unique atmosphere of Freedom Square.
Throughout both days, visitors can test themselves on the Tupla obstacle course, participate in competitions, win prizes and enjoy a wide range of activities for the whole family.
Admission to the festival is free. Organizers invite all residents of Tallinn and visitors to enjoy two days filled with sport, culture, great food and unforgettable festival atmosphere in the heart of the city.
